Indoor and Outdoor Classroom Learning with Gardening
Nutrition activities in our curriculum teach children about where the food comes from, how food grows, and how to cultivate food in a garden environment.
Children participate in preparing their snacks, practice handwashing, and help with clean-up. We help children become excited about healthy food that is delicious too!
Delicious and nutritious meals for our children start with a variety of fresh, whole foods. Prepared daily by our in-house nutrition staff, our meals and snacks incorporate:
- Whole grains
- Fresh fruits and vegetables
- Milk and dairy-free options from hormones and antibiotics
- Unprocessed meat, poultry, and other proteins free from hormones and antibiotics
- Foods without added sugar, artificial flavors, colors, and additives.
- Age-appropriate nutrients and serving sizes.
Exploring new foods and developing healthy eating habits is a fun and inclusive experience at RMSER Early Learning Centers! Children in our program are encouraged to try fresh foods, express themselves, and become less picky eaters. We help you continue the health and nutrition journey for your child while you are at work, shopping, running errands, or simply having a day to relax and enjoy!
Early learning often begins with what we eat to fuel our body to have productive days filled with fun, knowledge, and energy-producing excitement! Our program focuses on nutrition and education by introducing children to various nutritious foods and encouraging exploration to you and your family to maintain and establish a foundation for healthy eating habits and food choices.
Children are encouraged to taste all foods and never forced to eat anything they do not want. One goal of the Early Learning Child Care program is to introduce your child to a wide variety of foods throughout the day while you are out away.
